Cost of Attendance

How is your need determined?

Demonstrated Financial Need = Cost of Attendance – Expected Family Contribution (EFC)

Federal aid recipients cannot receive more than their Cost of Attendance by law. The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is based on the income and asset information you provide on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

***Upon student’s request, additional costs for books/supplies required for certain majors, documented childcare, neighbor island travel allowance, and/or educational expenses related to disability that is not provided by other assisting agencies may be considered for the Federal Direct Loan Program.
