UH campuses are closed to the public but are still conducting business. Deliveries, emergency vehicles, trash collectors, postal service, police, and contractors are still permitted on UH campuses. 

In response to the COVID-19 health crisis, the 10 campuses of the University of Hawaiʻi are closed, effective immediately, to everyone except current students and employees.

The UH campuses are UH Mānoa, UH Hilo, UH West Oʻahu, UH Maui College, Leeward Community College (CC), Kapiʻolani CC, Honolulu CC, Windward CC, Kauaʻi CC and Hawaiʻi CC.

The University of Hawaii Community Colleges are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our faculty, staff, and students. We are following the guidance of President Lassner and Governor Ige by moving classes to remote delivery as much as possible.

From the backdrop of Waiʻaleʻale, to the fronting mountain range of Hōkūlei, our campus is enveloped in a natural environment that’s incomparable. “Stay on Kaua’i, or to go to the mainland?” This is the question our high school seniors will be answering in the next 4 months. Parents of these same high school Seniors will be asking each other do we have enough money to send our student away? A round trip flight to the West Coast is nearing $400.00 dollars which equates to 1 class at KCC. The tuition, room & board, and textbooks for a mainland college can become a financial burden versus an asset for any family.
