“When I can see students make that connection with what's being taught, and they can connect it into their own life or something that they see, I tend to teach more of the history and the prehistory courses. That's past stuff that's happening. And sometimes when a student is taking that class it's like “how is this relevant to me?” Then when I see them make that connection and then they realize “ok, what I'm learning in class is totally relevant to what I'm gonna do.”
