Creative Writing Contest
Na Leo Lele Creative Writing Contest is open to all Kauaʻi CC students enrolled for credit during the 2020-2021 school year.
Cash awards in three categories:
First Price: $100
Second Price: $75
Third Price: $50
Deadline: April 18, 2021
Submit to: Mary Alexander at maryalex@hawaii.edu
Contest Writing Categories:
Poetry: Up to 3 poems, totaling no more than 1,250 words
Short fiction: One short story up to 1,250 words
Nonfiction: One essay up to 1,250 words
Submission Details:
- Submit a Google doc to maryalex@hawaii.edu
- Include a cover page with your name, UH email, cell#, one paragraph bio, and word count.
- Format as a Google doc (no-pdf); Name only on cover page
- Email by the deadline to maryalex@hawaii.edu
